My hope is that someday, you’ll find these in a box somewhere in the house.  The kind of box that houses precious memories.  Nick-knacks and other things you’ll roll your eyes at for me keeping.  But I hope you find these to be special.  Because to me– they’re a reflection of one of the most amazing times in my life.

Every time I feel you move within me, I smile.  Words cannot express the love I have for you– someone I’ve never met–and yet, I know you better than any other.

You are such an amazing gift from God and I am so blessed to be called your mother.  Carrying you has definitely had it’s funny moments, like when you decide to play my ribs with your foot like they’re a musical instrument– but carrying you has been my greatest joy.

I hope you see these and are reminded just how special you are.  And some day, I hope you understand, when your wife is swelling with your first child, just how much love one can have for a son or a daughter.  That you’ll think back on these images and realize just how I felt while I carried you.

My friend Jessica Fairchild sent these to me this morning.  You may remember this post — documenting my shoot with David Mendoza and Jessica in Las Vegas.  Jessica has become a dear friend, and shared with me her photos from the shoot today.  I couldn’t be more excited to have them!  They are such special memories documenting such a special time in our lives!  A very special thank you to Jess for these images!  Here are just a few of my favorites.

In my online group of photographers, Showiteers, I’m known as a big hugger.  Even though I’ve never met these people before, my hugs have taken on a reputation of their own.  One day, trying to express the correct amount of enthusiasm towards a friend I told her, ” I want to squeeze your face off.”  Because, you know, that’s totally normal.   False. The truth is, I specialize in cheesiness. I ooze it.

The expression stuck and before long the hugs became branded and forming a reputation of their own, slightly feared.  Therefore, my friends Nick and Stephanie Williams came up with a little product to arm all the showiteers with in Vegas during our visit.

Monday, February 20th

Early in the morning, I have a coffee date with the lovely Elizabeth Ann King 

Followed by classes from David Jay , Mike Larson, Trevor Dayley, Gabriel Ryan and Power Duo Zach and Jody Gray. 

Tuesday, February 21st

Early in the morning, there’s a top secret shoot going down!  HOLLER!

Then, I’m attending an editing class held by Nick and Stephanie Williams of Scribble Different (The makers of the repellant spray — and I’m 100% determined to squeeze them extra during class).

After editing class, I’m headed to hear Showit United’s keynote speaker for that day, my homegirl, Jasmine Star! *** SQUEAL***  (Hopefully, she doesn’t have a can of the spray. Because I fully intend to hug her big time. Twice.)

Following Jasmine Star, I’m headed to hear Andrew Barlow speak on Succeeding Together and Montanna Dennis. 

After classes that day, there are a few top secret events planned I’m super stoked to be a part of! More on this later!

Wednesday, February 22nd

Our last day in Vegas I plan on sleeping in. Until at least 8.

The exciting time will be wrapped up with Showit United Keynote Speaker Jeff Jochum, and awesome branding class with Jasmine Star (***SQUEAL*** again) and my very last class with friend, Josh Newton.

I’m super excited about my first time headed to Vegas and I’m most excited about meeting and learning from so many of the peeps I look up to in our industry!

So, Happy Tuesday yo!  Word.
